Also, refer to Connecting Dionex Devices via USB.

Software Installation

  1. In the Chromeleon Server Configuration, add the driver under Sharable Devices. For details, see Adding, Configuring or Deleting Devices. When you add the driver, the configuration dialog for the UCI opens automatically.

  2. On each configuration tab page, verify that the settings are correct and select the additional settings if needed. For information about the settings on a page, click Help or press F1.

  3. Add the Integrator Driver  to the timebase in which the device connected to the UCI is installed and configure the signals as required. Only then, you can use the analog inputs in Chromeleon.

  4. Add the Shared Relays and Inputs  driver to the timebase. Only then, you can use the digital inputs, BCD inputs, and relay outputs in Chromeleon.

  5. To control a module via an RS-232 connection, verify in the Properties dialog for the device connected to the UCI that the appropriate serial communication port has been selected.

Adding more than one UCI to the Server Configuration

You can add and control up to four UCI module on one Chromeleon server. When you add  another instance in your Server Configuration, a message appears stating that a UCI has already been installed.
